Grading Summary
This Palkia LV.X shows strong overall preservation, with the main visible weakness coming from localized surface wear on the front. Centering is solid on both sides, and corners and edges remain near-pristine aside from a few tiny edge marks.

Image Quality
Parts of this scan are hard to inspect. Glare, overexposure, or low detail may reduce grading confidence.

Four-axis score profile
Centering is effectively balanced on both fronts and backs, with measurements staying very close to 50/50 in both directions. The slight shifts are minimal and do not indicate a meaningful centering issue.
Corners appear exceptionally clean overall. The only noted item is a very subtle possible nick on the front bottom-left corner, but it is negligible and low confidence, so it does not materially affect the corner result.
Observed
The edge grade is held to a strong result by overall clean borders, with only a couple of tiny back-side nicks: a minor pale nick on the back left edge and a negligible fleck at the back top cut boundary. These are small localized interruptions rather than broad edge wear.
Observed
The surface grade is mainly driven by two front-side defects: a moderate localized patch of foil wear/scuffing on the lower gold text strip and a tiny dark spot in the upper-right HP area. The wear is the more significant issue, while the spot is minor and isolated.

What's holding this card back
Lowest axisSurface (8.0) is the lowest of the four axes. It's the main thing keeping this card from a higher grade.
The limiting defect is Surface Foil Wear (moderate, front).
Bringing surface up to the level of the next-weakest axis (Edges, 9.0) would be the single biggest improvement available.
