We collect card images, scans, uploaded media, generated card cutouts, grading evidence, AI grading results, portfolio records, collection details, visibility settings, and public sharing information you create through the service.
If you contact us for support, we collect the information you send, including contact details and the contents of your message.
We also collect app analytics, technical logs, crash reports, device and app information, diagnostics, request metadata, and security events to operate and improve GemiScan.
How We Use Information
We use information to provide account access, create and maintain your profile, process scans, store portfolio records, generate grading and card-identification results, show public pages based on your visibility settings and the app's default sharing behavior, operate app settings, and provide support.
We use analytics, logs, and diagnostics to understand product usage, improve reliability, investigate bugs, secure the service, prevent abuse, and maintain backend operations.
AI Processing And Service Providers
GemiScan relies on service providers for authentication, database hosting, file storage, analytics, crash reporting, AI processing, catalog data, pricing data, marketplace context, hosting, and operational tooling.
Where a provider receives personal information from us, we expect it to process that information only for the service purposes described in this policy and to apply appropriate security protections. Depending on the feature, providers may include infrastructure, AI, analytics, crash-reporting, catalog, pricing, marketplace, hosting, and operational tooling providers.
Card images, scans, grading evidence, and related data may be sent to AI processing providers to generate card-identification and grading results. We do not use your scans, uploaded card images, or grading evidence to train AI models.
No Sale Or Advertising Tracking
We do not sell your personal information.
We do not share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not use advertising trackers to follow you across other companies' apps or websites.
Sharing And Public Content
GemiScan is designed around sharing, so supported profiles, scans, cards, and related portfolio content may be public by default.
Public pages may show the content and profile details needed to present shared items, along with related engagement and metadata. You can change supported visibility settings in the app where those controls are available.
Your Choices
You can change supported profile and visibility settings in the app. You can choose whether scans are public by default where the app provides those controls.
Signed-in users can start account deletion from Settings. You can also contact us for privacy, access, correction, deletion, and support questions.
Account Deletion
When you delete your account in the app, GemiScan requests identity confirmation, calls the account deletion service, deletes or anonymizes account data and GemiScan-controlled media from active systems, clears local app account data, and returns the app to the signed-out state.
Deletion may not immediately remove information from every backup, log, cache, analytics system, marketplace or data provider system, or third-party system. Some information may be retained only when needed for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, financial or operational records, backup integrity, or other legitimate business purposes.
Retention
We keep information while needed to provide and improve the service, maintain security and abuse prevention, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, operate backups, and maintain necessary business records.
The exact retention period depends on the type of information, how it is used, whether the account is active or deleted, legal requirements, security needs, and provider backup or deletion processes.
Security
We use technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, and alteration.
No online service can guarantee complete security, so you should use a strong device passcode and keep your sign-in credentials secure.
Children
GemiScan is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to GemiScan, contact us at support@gemiscan.com so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
