Grading Summary
This Gengar has excellent centering and a clean surface, with only light edge and corner wear keeping the other components just below perfect. Overall, the card presents very well with the flaws concentrated in small border-level wear.

Grade Shape
Four-axis score profile
Centering is excellent on both sides, with the front measuring roughly 54/46 left-right and 48/52 top-bottom, and the back staying close to even as well. The offsets are small enough to support a top centering result.
The corners are in strong shape overall, with only light wear visible at the back left-bottom corner as a few tiny breaks/scuffs along the blue border. That limited corner chipping is consistent with a near-gem result.
Observed
The edges show minor wear rather than anything heavy, with small nicks/whitening reported on the front cut edge near the side and far edge. The back edges appear clean, which fits a high edge grade with only light visible edge wear.
Observed
No surface defects were detected on the front or back art scans, and there is no evidence of scratches, dents, creases, print lines, spotting, or foil wear. That supports a pristine surface result.
What's holding this card back
Lowest axisCorners (9.0) is the lowest of the four axes. It's the main thing keeping this card from a higher grade.
The limiting defect is Corner Wear (minor, back).
Bringing corners up to the level of the next-weakest axis (Edges, 9.0) would be the single biggest improvement available.
