Grading Summary
This Zapdos shows excellent centering, strong edges, and only light wear in the corners and surface. The main deductions come from small corner nicks and a few minor surface spots/marks, with some additional defects excluded from scoring because of scan-quality limitations.

Image Quality
• 1 front-side defect ignored due to scan quality.
• 2 back-side defects ignored due to scan quality.
• Parts of this scan are hard to inspect. Glare, overexposure, or low detail may reduce grading confidence.

Four-axis score profile
Centering is very strong overall, with the front essentially left-right centered and the back also close to balanced. The front is more bottom-heavy top-to-bottom, but the measured offsets still support a high centering result.
Corner wear is limited to a small nick/chip at the front bottom-left corner, keeping the corners solid but not perfect. Additional wear was seen on the back top-right and bottom-right corners, but those defects were excluded from scoring because the affected regions were not reliably clear.
Observed
The edge strips show intact cut edges with no meaningful edge wear on either side, which supports the top edge result. The faint marks seen on the back are on the printed face rather than the edge itself, so they do not materially affect the edge assessment.
Surface quality is held back by a tiny isolated white speck in the front purple artwork area and faint short pale marks on the back blue face. A second front-side speck was observed but excluded from scoring due to image-quality limitations in that region, so the surface result reflects the visible minor blemishes that could be assessed confidently.

What's holding this card back
Lowest axisSurface (8.0) is the lowest of the four axes. It's the main thing keeping this card from a higher grade.
The limiting defect is Surface Mark (minor, back).
Bringing surface up to the level of the next-weakest axis (Centering, 9.0) would be the single biggest improvement available.
