This Mega Charizard X ex presents as a very clean card with excellent centering and only light corner wear plus a minor edge mark. The surface remains strong, with just a faint back-border scuff noted.
Image Quality
Parts of this scan are hard to inspect. Glare, overexposure, or low detail may reduce grading confidence.
1 back-side defect ignored due to scan quality.
Grade Shape
Four-axis score profile
The card’s centering is very strong overall, with front measurements near 54/46 left-right and about 49/51 top-bottom, and the back similarly close to even. That level of balance supports a top centering result.
Corner wear is light but present: the front bottom-right shows a visible white edge break, the front bottom-left has thin whitening along the rounded edge, and the back top-right has only very faint speckling/lightening. A back top-left whitening defect was observed but excluded from scoring because that region was affected by image quality, so the remaining visible wear reasonably fits a 9.
Observed
Edges are clean overall, with only a tiny white nick noted along the back top edge and no meaningful front-side edge wear. The observed edge defect is minor enough that the card still supports a top edge result.
Observed
The surface remains very strong, with only a faint, thin scuff/scratch in the back blue border just below the cut edge. It is subtle and localized, so it does not materially detract from the surface grade.
Observed
Corners (9.0) is the lowest of the four axes. It's the main thing keeping this card from a higher grade.
The limiting defect is Corner Wear (minor, front).
Bringing corners up to the level of the next-weakest axis (Centering, 10.0) would be the single biggest improvement available.
