Gemi Grade Report
Flashfire
Published July 13, 2026
This Charizard EX presents very strong centering and a clean surface, with the main limitations coming from corner wear and light edge chipping. Overall, the card’s look is held back more by corners and edges than by any front-facing print or surface issue.
Image Quality
1 back-side defect ignored due to scan quality.
Grade Shape
Four-axis score profile
The card shows strong overall centering, with the back nearly balanced and the front only modestly shifted to the right. The measured front and back ratios support a high centering result despite the front being a bit heavier on the right side.
Corner condition is the main weakness, led by clear wear at the back top-right and front bottom-left corners, where white chipping and exposed edge breaks are visible. The remaining corners show smaller nicks or faint whitening, which is consistent with a middling corner result rather than a clean one.
Observed
Edge wear is present but mostly limited to small chips, nicks, and minor whitening along the cut edges on both front and back. One back-side edge defect was observed but excluded from grading because that area was affected by image quality, so the supported edge result rests on the remaining visible wear.
Observed
Surface condition is exceptionally clean, with only tiny specks scattered across the front and back artwork and no meaningful scratches, dents, creases, print lines, or foil wear reported. The observed marks are negligible and do not materially affect the surface grade.
Observed
Corners (5.0) is the lowest of the four axes. It's the main thing keeping this card from a higher grade.
The limiting defect is Corner Wear (moderate, back).
Bringing corners up to the level of the next-weakest axis (Edges, 7.0) would be the single biggest improvement available.
