Gemi Grade Report
SWSH Black Star Promos
Published August 15, 2026
This Mewtwo V promo shows excellent overall presentation, led by very strong centering and clean corners and surface. The only meaningful wear is a small front edge nick and a faint back-border scuff, both too limited to materially impact the card's premium look.
Image Quality
Parts of this scan are hard to inspect. Glare, overexposure, or low detail may reduce grading confidence.
Grade Shape
Four-axis score profile
The card is very well centered overall, with the front essentially dead-on and the back only showing a slight left/right and top/bottom shift within a very strong range. That level of alignment supports the top centering result.
The corners present as clean overall, with only a possible minuscule nick at the front bottom-left tip that is extremely subtle and likely near the threshold of visibility. The corner stock still grades as effectively pristine from the scan evidence.
Observed
Edge wear is limited to a small whitening/chip-like spot at the left end of the front top edge, with only a slightly rough cut boundary there. The rest of the edges appear solid, which is consistent with a strong but not perfect edge grade.
Observed
The surface is largely clean, with only a thin, faint whitish scratch/scuff on the back blue border near the top center-left. Even with some back-side glare reducing inspection confidence in the center area, there is no sign of broader surface damage, which supports the top surface result.
Observed
Edges (9.0) is the lowest of the four axes. It's the main thing keeping this card from a higher grade.
The limiting defect is Edge Wear (minor, front).
Bringing edges up to the level of the next-weakest axis (Centering, 10.0) would be the single biggest improvement available.
