Gemi Grade Report
XY Black Star Promos
Published July 14, 2026
This Victini promo shows excellent centering, clean corners, and a very clean surface, with the main wear limited to a few small front-edge nicks/whitening. Overall presentation is strong, with the edge defects being the only notable detractor.
Image Quality
Parts of this scan are hard to inspect. Glare, overexposure, or low detail may reduce grading confidence.
Grade Shape
Four-axis score profile
Measured centering is excellent on both sides, with the front and back staying close to a 50/50 balance horizontally and only slight vertical offset. That level of alignment supports the top centering result.
All four corners were clean in the dedicated corner scans, with no corner wear or whitening evident. This matches a pristine corners result.
Edge wear is limited to the front edge strip, where a small nick/whitening is visible on the left section and a more noticeable white chip/whitening appears at the far right corner touching the cut edge. The back edge strip scans were clean, so the edge result is driven by these modest front-side defects.
Observed
The dedicated art scans do not show scratches, dents, creases, print lines, spots, or foil wear, so the surface presents very clean overall. A minor glare area on the front middle-left reduced inspection confidence slightly there, but no surface defect was identified from the available evidence.
Edges (8.0) is the lowest of the four axes. It's the main thing keeping this card from a higher grade.
The limiting defect is Edge Wear (moderate, front).
Bringing edges up to the level of the next-weakest axis (Centering, 10.0) would be the single biggest improvement available.
