Gemi Grade Report
MEP Black Star Promos
Published July 6, 2026
This card presents very well overall, with excellent centering and only light, localized wear. The main visible flaw is a faint back surface scratch, while the corners and edges remain clean aside from minor whitening.
Grade Shape
Four-axis score profile
Measured centering is essentially perfect on both sides, with the front nearly dead-center and the back only slightly favoring the right and top margins. That level of balance supports the top centering result.
Corners are very clean overall, with only a couple of tiny white nicks at the back bottom-left corner. The wear is light and localized, consistent with a near-mint corner result.
Observed
Edges are largely sharp, with the only noted issue being a small nick/whitening spot on the back bottom edge near the left side. The defect is minor and isolated, which aligns with a strong edge grade.
Observed
The main surface issue is a long, faint vertical scratch in the back blue background above the Poké Ball. It is visible but light enough to keep the surface in strong condition overall.
Observed
Corners (9.0) is the lowest of the four axes. It's the main thing keeping this card from a higher grade.
The limiting defect is Corner Wear (minor, back).
Bringing corners up to the level of the next-weakest axis (Edges, 9.0) would be the single biggest improvement available.
