Gemi Grade Report
MEP Black Star Promos
Published June 23, 2026
This copy presents very strong centering, sharp corners, and clean edges. The main limitation is minor surface spotting, with glare reducing inspection reliability in a few areas.
Evidence
1 scan(s) failed: back_left_edge
Image Quality
• Strong lighting hotspot across the lower-right/center of the card obscures part of the attack text and bottom section.
• Strong flash reflection across the right-center of the card surface obscures part of the back artwork and makes inspection less reliable.
Grade Shape
Four-axis score profile
Measured centering is essentially perfect on both sides, with front and back both very close to 50/50 left-right and top-bottom. That level of balance supports an excellent centering result.
No corner wear was detected on either the front or back corner scans, so the corners present cleanly. The result is consistent with sharp, well-preserved corners.
Edge scans show no meaningful edge wear, and the one back-edge mark is described as negligible and not clearly interrupting the cut edge. Overall, the edges appear clean and well preserved.
The surface shows a few tiny dark specks on the front artwork and a small scuff/mark near the top edge on the back, which is enough to keep the surface from a top-grade result. Some areas were also harder to inspect cleanly because of glare, so the assessment relies on the visible defects that could be confirmed.
Observed
Surface (8.0) is the lowest of the four axes. It's the main thing keeping this card from a higher grade.
The limiting defect is Surface Spot (minor, front).
Bringing surface up to the level of the next-weakest axis (Centering, 10.0) would be the single biggest improvement available.
