Gemi Grade Report
SWSH Black Star Promos
Published June 22, 2026
Centering is excellent, and the surface appears very clean. Back corners and edges show the most noticeable wear and are the main limiting factors.
Image Quality
2 back-side defects ignored due to scan quality.
Strong rainbow lighting bands cross the card face and text, making surface inspection unreliable.
Grade Shape
Four-axis score profile
The measured centering is nearly even on both sides and top-to-bottom on front and back, with only slight deviations from true balance. That supports a top centering result.
The back corners show the main wear, with moderate whitening and exposed edge material at the top-left, bottom-left, and bottom-right corners, plus a smaller nick at the top-right. The wear is clear enough to hold the corner result down despite the front corners appearing clean.
Observed
Edge condition is limited by multiple small nicks, whitening, and irregular cut-edge wear across both front and back, especially along the back top edge and the front right edge. Two additional back-right edge defects were observed but excluded from scoring because that region was image-quality affected, so the grade reflects the reliable edge evidence only.
Observed
The usable surface evidence is very light, with only a tiny white speck in the back blue field and no meaningful scratches, dents, creases, or print issues supported by the scans. Front-face glare made fine surface inspection less reliable, but the evidence still supports a clean surface result overall.
Observed
Corners (4.0) is the lowest of the four axes. It's the main thing keeping this card from a higher grade.
The limiting defect is Corner Wear (moderate, back).
Bringing corners up to the level of the next-weakest axis (Edges, 5.0) would be the single biggest improvement available.
