Gemi Grade Report
MEP Black Star Promos
Published July 24, 2026
This Charmander promo presents very strong centering, clean corners, and no visible edge wear. The main limitation is the lower-border crease/fold on the front and back, which holds the surface result back.
Image Quality
Low-confidence card geometry detected (confidence 0.70, detected sides 2).
Grade Shape
Four-axis score profile
The card shows excellent centering on both sides, with the front measuring very close to even left/right and top/bottom balance and the back still remaining within a strong, well-controlled range overall. The measured offsets are small enough to support a top centering result.
All four corners scanned cleanly with no reported corner wear or chipping, which fits a pristine corner result. There is no evidence of corner damage affecting the grade.
Edge scans on both front and back reported no edge wear, dings, or whitening. The edges therefore support a perfect result.
Surface grade is lowered by a moderate crease/kink in the lower border area on the front and a corresponding diagonal crease/fold across the lower back border near the retreat area. The defect is localized but clearly visible on both sides, and the back-side geometry note does not change the fact that a real surface crease was observed.
Observed
Surface (6.0) is the lowest of the four axes. It's the main thing keeping this card from a higher grade.
The limiting defect is Surface Crease (moderate, front).
Bringing surface up to the level of the next-weakest axis (Centering, 10.0) would be the single biggest improvement available.
