Gemi Grade Report
Black Bolt
Published July 20, 2026
This Cubchoo presents very clean corners and edges, with strong centering overall. The main limitation is a visible front surface crease in the lower divider area, which keeps the card from a higher overall surface result.
Grade Shape
Four-axis score profile
Centering is strong on both sides. The front runs a bit heavier top-to-bottom and slightly left-to-right, while the back is very close to balanced, which supports the 9.
Corners show no detected wear on either side, with clean front and back corner scans. That level of preservation is consistent with the 10.
Edge scans found no edge wear on the front or back strips. With no chips, whitening, or trimming indicators present, the edges support a 10.
Surface is held to an 8 by a moderate crease/wrinkle in the bottom gray divider line above the retreat section, slightly right of center on the front art scan. The defect is localized, but it is still visible enough to limit the surface grade despite otherwise clean scans.
Observed
Surface (8.0) is the lowest of the four axes. It's the main thing keeping this card from a higher grade.
The limiting defect is Surface Crease (moderate, front).
Bringing surface up to the level of the next-weakest axis (Centering, 9.0) would be the single biggest improvement available.
