Gemi Grade Report
SM Black Star Promos
Published June 24, 2026
The card presents very cleanly on surface and strong on centering, but edge wear and corner whitening are the clear limiting factors. The most significant issue is the severe fraying/chipping on the front edge, with additional corner wear visible on multiple corners.
Image Quality
Low-confidence card geometry detected (confidence 0.84, detected sides 2).

Four-axis score profile
Centering is strong overall, with the back nearly balanced and the front only mildly shifted right and bottom-heavy. The front measurements show the more noticeable imbalance, but not enough to meaningfully disrupt the high centering result.
Corner wear is present on multiple corners, with the front top-right showing the clearest whitening and the back top-right also showing repeated white nicks along the tip and arc. The remaining corners have smaller chips or light wear, which fits a mid-range corner result rather than a near-mint one.
Observed
Edge condition is the main weakness of the card, led by a severe jagged chip/fraying segment on the front cut edge with exposed beige core and missing border material. Additional smaller nicks on the front and back top edges reinforce the low edge result.
Observed
The surface appears clean in the scan evidence, with no reported scratches, dents, creases, print lines, spots, foil wear, or other material surface defects on either art scan. That clean surface presentation supports the top surface result.
Edges (3.0) is the lowest of the four axes. It's the main thing keeping this card from a higher grade.
The limiting defect is Edge Wear (severe, front).
Bringing edges up to the level of the next-weakest axis (Corners, 5.0) would be the single biggest improvement available.
