Gemi Grade Report
SWSH Black Star Promos
Published June 30, 2026
This Charizard VSTAR shows excellent overall presentation, especially in centering and surface quality. The main wear is concentrated in a few small edge and corner nicks, while the remaining defects are minor and localized.
Grade Shape
Four-axis score profile
The card is very well balanced overall, with front and back measurements staying close to even on both axes. The slight lean on each side is minor and consistent with a top-tier centering result.
Corner condition is strong, with only minor wear noted on the back top-right corner and a faint, less-certain frayed spot near the back bottom-right area. The front corners appear clean, so the observed corner wear is limited and localized.
Observed
Edge wear is present in a few small spots, including a chipped/whitened area on the front bottom-left cut edge and a small nick along the back top edge near center. These are minor but visible interruptions to the border, which keeps the edge grade below pristine.
Observed
The surface is otherwise clean, with only tiny isolated dark specks in the front artwork area and no meaningful scratches, dents, creases, or print-line issues reported. The defects are negligible in size and limited enough to leave the surface looking essentially pristine.
Observed
Edges (8.0) is the lowest of the four axes. It's the main thing keeping this card from a higher grade.
The limiting defect is Edge Wear (minor, back).
Bringing edges up to the level of the next-weakest axis (Corners, 9.0) would be the single biggest improvement available.
