Gemi Grade Report
SM Black Star Promos
Published July 1, 2026
The card shows clean overall preservation with only minor front edge wear and an extremely subtle possible corner nick. The main grading limiter is the front centering, which is notably heavier top-to-bottom than the back.
Grade Shape
Four-axis score profile
Front centering is noticeably shifted, with the front reading about 52.5/47.5 left-right and a much stronger 38.1/61.9 top-bottom split. The back is nearly centered, but the front imbalance is enough to explain the lower centering result.
The corners present essentially clean overall, with only a very subtle possible nick near the front bottom-right area that is low-confidence and could be influenced by lighting or softness. That limited evidence is consistent with a top-tier corner result.
Observed
There is a small nick/whitening interruption on the front left cut edge, but it is minor and isolated, and the back edge scans are clean. This supports a strong edge grade with only slight visible wear on the front.
Observed
No surface defects were detected on either side, with the front art scan and back art scan both clean. The surface result is therefore supported by the lack of scratches, dents, creases, print lines, spots, or foil wear in the scan evidence.
Centering (8.0) is the lowest of the four axes. It's the main thing keeping this card from a higher grade.
Bringing centering up to the level of the next-weakest axis (Edges, 9.0) would be the single biggest improvement available.
