Gemi Grade Report
MEP Black Star Promos
Published July 14, 2026
This card presents as a strong overall example with excellent surface quality and solid centering. The main deductions come from light corner and edge wear, most visible on the front.
Grade Shape
Four-axis score profile
Centering is strong overall. The front is modestly right-heavy, while the back is close to even with only slight top/bottom drift, which fits a high centering result rather than a perfect one.
The corners show light wear concentrated at the tips: subtle whitening and tiny edge breaks at the front top-left and bottom-left, plus very slight nicking at the front bottom-right and a faint soft spot on the back bottom-right. The wear is minor and mostly confined to the corner points, so the corners remain in strong condition overall.
Observed
The front cut edges have a few small white nicks and short frayed spots, including a more noticeable chip on one side and lighter whitening near the upper edge and opposite end. These are minor but visible edge flaws, consistent with solid edges that are not fully clean.
Observed
No surface defects were detected on either the front or back art scans. With no reported scratches, dents, creases, print lines, spots, foil wear, or other surface anomalies, the surface presents as clean.
Edges (8.0) is the lowest of the four axes. It's the main thing keeping this card from a higher grade.
The limiting defect is Edge Wear (minor, front).
Bringing edges up to the level of the next-weakest axis (Centering, 9.0) would be the single biggest improvement available.
