This Ho-Oh-EX presents well overall with excellent centering and only light, localized wear across the corners and edges. Surface wear is present but limited, led by a single more visible scratch in the lower center holo area.
Grade Shape
Four-axis score profile
Centering is excellent overall, with the front measuring very close to even and the back still staying in a strong range despite a modest left/right imbalance. The measured placement supports a top-tier centering result.
The corners show light wear only, with small white nicks/chipping visible on the back corners and a very subtle front-corner nick. The wear is minor and localized, which fits an 8-level corner result.
Observed
Edge condition is strong but not pristine, with small white nicks/whitening on the front left edge and back right edge. These are isolated cut-edge interruptions rather than heavier fraying, supporting an 8-level edge result.
Observed
Surface is mostly clean, but there is a noticeable vertical scratch-like line in the lower center holo/text area plus a few small specks and light scuffing on the back. The defects are limited in size and density, which is consistent with an 8-level surface result.
Observed
Corners (8.0) is the lowest of the four axes. It's the main thing keeping this card from a higher grade.
The limiting defect is Corner Wear (minor, back).
Bringing corners up to the level of the next-weakest axis (Edges, 8.0) would be the single biggest improvement available.
