Gemi Grade Report
XY
Published August 17, 2026
This Xerneas EX presents very strong centering and surface quality, with the grade held back mainly by back-side edge and corner wear. The card shows a few small specks and localized whitening, but no major surface damage.
Image Quality
4 back-side defects ignored due to scan quality.
Grade Shape
Four-axis score profile
Front centering is essentially perfect, and the back remains only mildly shifted with measured balance still very close to center. The result supports a top-tier centering score despite the small back-side offset.
Corners are mostly clean overall, with the main visible issue being moderate fraying and whitening on the back bottom-right corner, including exposed white fibers. Additional minor corner wear was present in image-quality affected regions and was not used in scoring.
Observed
Edge wear is concentrated on the back side, where the right edge shows light whitening and roughness with small adjacent scuffs, and the bottom edge has a couple of small white nicks/chips. A further minor edge break was visible in an image-quality affected region but was excluded from grading.
Observed
Surface condition is strong, with only tiny dark specks visible on the back artwork, including one on the Poké Ball area and another in the blue swirl. No heavier scratches, dents, creases, or foil issues were indicated by the scan evidence.
Observed
Edges (7.0) is the lowest of the four axes. It's the main thing keeping this card from a higher grade.
The limiting defect is Edge Wear (moderate, back).
Bringing edges up to the level of the next-weakest axis (Corners, 8.0) would be the single biggest improvement available.
