Gemi Grade Report
MEP Black Star Promos
Published June 28, 2026
This Squirtle presents as a strong, high-grade copy with clean centering and only light, localized wear at the corners and edges. The surface remains free of identified defects in the scan evidence.
Image Quality
Strong lighting reflection across the left and lower-right areas creates shiny hotspots that could interfere with surface inspection.
Grade Shape
Four-axis score profile
The card is very well centered overall, with the front reading slightly right- and bottom-heavy and the back nearly balanced. Those measured offsets are small enough to support a strong centering result.
Corner wear is limited to subtle whitening/roughness at the front top-right and faint light wear on the back corners, with the back top-right mark especially tiny and low-confidence. The wear is minor and localized, which fits a high corner result despite the slight visible softness at the tips.
Observed
Edges appear mostly clean, with the main issue being a small whitening/chip at one cut edge/corner area on the front. That isolated minor wear is consistent with an otherwise strong edge result.
Observed
No surface defects were identified in the scan evidence, and the usable image areas do not show scratches, dents, creases, print lines, spots, or foil wear. Strong glare on the back limited inspection in places, but no actionable surface flaw was observed in the visible areas.
Centering (9.0) is the lowest of the four axes. It's the main thing keeping this card from a higher grade.
Bringing centering up to the level of the next-weakest axis (Corners, 9.0) would be the single biggest improvement available.
