Gemi Grade Report
SM Black Star Promos
Published June 22, 2026
This copy presents very strong overall condition, with the main issues limited to light corner wear, a small front edge chip, and a visible front vertical centering offset. Surface quality appears clean throughout.
Grade Shape
Four-axis score profile
The card is very well centered left-to-right on both sides, but the front shows a noticeable top-to-bottom shift, with the front image sitting higher than the back. That slight vertical imbalance keeps centering from being gem-level despite the strong horizontal alignment.
Minor corner wear at the back top-right and back bottom-left shows small white breaks at the tips, consistent with light nicking rather than heavier rounding or crushing. The wear is limited, which supports a solid but not top-tier corner result.
Observed
A small chip/notch on the front right cut edge, with a thin exposed light streak extending slightly into the border, is the main edge issue. The rest of the edges appear clean from the scan evidence, so the edge result remains strong.
Observed
No surface scratches, dents, creases, print lines, spots, foil wear, or other surface anomalies were detected in the provided scans. With no visible surface defects to account for, the surface result is pristine.
Corners (8.0) is the lowest of the four axes. It's the main thing keeping this card from a higher grade.
The limiting defect is Corner Wear (minor, back).
Bringing corners up to the level of the next-weakest axis (Centering, 9.0) would be the single biggest improvement available.
