Gemi Grade Report
SWSH Black Star Promos
Published June 27, 2026
This Charizard VMAX shows excellent centering and very clean edges, with only minor corner wear and a few light front-surface scratches. The scan evidence supports a strong overall appearance, tempered mainly by the holo surface marks.
Image Quality
• Parts of this scan are hard to inspect. Glare, overexposure, or low detail may reduce grading confidence.

Grade Shape
Four-axis score profile
Centering is very strong on both sides, with the front measuring about 49/51 left-right and 48/52 top-bottom, and the back similarly close to even. That level of balance supports a top centering result.
Corner quality is mostly clean, with only light wear noted at the back bottom-right corner and a small front top-left nick/wear observation that was excluded from scoring because that region was image-quality affected. The limited, minor corner wear is consistent with a high corner result.
Observed
Edges present as very clean overall, with no back-side edge defects and only a small front top-edge whitening/irregularity observed in an image-quality affected region that was excluded from score. With no meaningful edge wear supported by the scan, the edge result is well justified.
Observed
The surface result is driven by multiple minor scratches across the front holo area, including marks in the upper-center, upper-right near the HP area, and right-center near Charizard’s body. They are light rather than severe, but their number and placement are enough to keep the surface below a pristine result.
Observed
Surface (8.0) is the lowest of the four axes. It's the main thing keeping this card from a higher grade.
The limiting defect is Surface Scratch (minor, front).
Bringing surface up to the level of the next-weakest axis (Corners, 9.0) would be the single biggest improvement available.
