Gemi Grade Report
SVP Black Star Promos
Published June 22, 2026
The card has excellent centering, corners, and edges, but the front crease/fold is a major surface issue. That structural defect caps the surface result despite only minor additional back spotting.
Structural
Grade capped at 5 due to structural defect
A noticeable crease/fold is visible near the lower center of the card, extending up from the bottom edge.
Image Quality
Parts of this scan are hard to inspect. Glare, overexposure, or low detail may reduce grading confidence.
Grade Shape
Four-axis score profile
Centering is essentially ideal on both sides, with the front measuring about 48/52 left-right and 54/46 top-bottom, and the back measuring 50/50 left-right and about 52/48 top-bottom. That level of balance supports a top centering result.
No corner wear was detected on either the front or back corner scans, so the corners present as sharp and clean. This matches the top corner result.
The front and back edge strip scans found no edge wear, chipping, or other border damage. With no visible edge defects to account for, the edges support a top result.
Surface condition is heavily limited by the noticeable vertical crease-like mark running through the lower center of the front, which is consistent with the structural/bent flag and drives the surface grade cap. Additional minor back specks are present, but the dominant issue is the crease/fold, and the back glare note means those smaller marks should be read as minor compared with the fold.
Observed
Surface (1.0) is the lowest of the four axes. It's the main thing keeping this card from a higher grade.
The limiting defect is Surface Crease (moderate, front).
Bringing surface up to the level of the next-weakest axis (Centering, 10.0) would be the single biggest improvement available.
