Gemi Grade Report
MEP Black Star Promos
Published July 20, 2026
This card presents very clean overall, with strong centering and no meaningful wear on corners or edges. A tiny back-side surface speck, along with some front glare during inspection, keeps the surface from being perfect but does not materially change the card’s excellent condition.
Image Quality
Strong reflection on the right side washes out part of the artwork and border, making inspection less reliable.
Grade Shape
Four-axis score profile
Measured centering is strong on both sides: the front is close to balanced horizontally and vertically, and the back stays comfortably near center as well. This supports the high centering result.
No corner wear was detected on either the front or back scans, so the corners appear sharp and clean throughout. That aligns with a top corner result.
Edge strip scans found no edge wear on the front or back, indicating clean borders without chipping or whitening. The edge result is therefore well supported.
The surface is nearly flawless overall, with the main noted issue being a tiny dark speck on the back art near the upper-right area of the Poké Ball. Front-side glare makes inspection less reliable in part of the artwork, but the observed defect is minor and limited, which fits a strong surface result.
Observed
Centering (9.0) is the lowest of the four axes. It's the main thing keeping this card from a higher grade.
Bringing centering up to the level of the next-weakest axis (Surface, 9.0) would be the single biggest improvement available.
