Gemi Grade Report
Surging Sparks
Published August 19, 2026
This Pikachu ex presents very clean overall, with excellent centering, sharp corners, and clean edges. The only noted flaw is a faint front surface scratch on the right side, which keeps the card just below pristine on surface.
Grade Shape
Four-axis score profile
The measured front and back centering is very close to even on both axes, with only slight variation, which supports the top centering result.
No corner wear was detected on either the front or back corner scans, so the corners present cleanly and justify the top result.
Both edge strip scans were clean with no edge wear reported, indicating sharp, intact edges throughout.
The surface result is held back by a faint diagonal scratch/line on the right half of the front art area, running toward the lower-right section. It is minor in severity but clearly visible enough to account for a small deduction.
Observed
Surface (9.0) is the lowest of the four axes. It's the main thing keeping this card from a higher grade.
The limiting defect is Surface Scratch (minor, front).
Bringing surface up to the level of the next-weakest axis (Centering, 10.0) would be the single biggest improvement available.
