Gemi Grade Report
SVP Black Star Promos
Published July 24, 2026
This Kingdra ex presents as a strong high-grade copy, anchored by excellent centering and a clean surface. The main visible wear is limited to minor back corner whitening, while the noted back edge nicks were excluded from scoring because of scan-quality limitations.
Image Quality
2 back-side defects ignored due to scan quality.
Parts of this scan are hard to inspect. Glare, overexposure, or low detail may reduce grading confidence.
Grade Shape
Four-axis score profile
Measured centering is essentially balanced on both sides and top/bottom on the front, with the back also staying very close to even despite a slight rightward shift. The 10 score is consistent with this near-perfect alignment.
The corner result is held down by minor wear on the back left corners: the bottom-left shows noticeable whitening/chipping, while the top-left has a smaller white break that is partly softened by blur/compression. These are light but visible corner flaws, which fits the 9 score.
Observed
Edge quality remains elite overall, but the back top edge shows two minor whitening/nick defects that were observed in image-quality-affected areas and excluded from score impact. With the visible edge wear not counted for grading due to unreliable inspection in those spots, the 10 score is supported.
Observed
No surface scratches, dents, creases, print lines, spots, foil wear, or other surface anomalies were detected in the scans. That clean surface presentation supports the 10 score.
Corners (9.0) is the lowest of the four axes. It's the main thing keeping this card from a higher grade.
The limiting defect is Corner Wear (minor, back).
Bringing corners up to the level of the next-weakest axis (Centering, 10.0) would be the single biggest improvement available.
