Gemi Grade Report
SWSH Black Star Promos
Published June 24, 2026
The card shows strong overall preservation with excellent centering and clean edges/surface. The main limitation is the visible wear on the back corners, especially the back left corner.
Grade Shape
Four-axis score profile
The card is well centered overall, with only a mild left/right imbalance on the front and the reverse reading close to even vertically. The measured centering supports a strong result here despite the slight front-back offset.
Corner quality is held back by visible wear on the back left corner, where the whitening is the most pronounced and reaches beyond a pinpoint spot. Smaller nicks on the back right and back top-left corners add additional, but lighter, corner wear, which fits the lower subgrade.
Observed
No meaningful edge wear was detected on the front or along the visible edge strips, so the edges present as clean overall. The supplied result is consistent with an edge set that remains effectively intact.
Surface preservation is strong, with the scans showing no meaningful scratches, dents, creases, or print-line issues. The only noted mark is a tiny white speck on the back blue border near the cut edge, which is minor and does not materially affect the surface result.
Observed
Corners (6.0) is the lowest of the four axes. It's the main thing keeping this card from a higher grade.
The limiting defect is Corner Wear (moderate, back).
Bringing corners up to the level of the next-weakest axis (Centering, 9.0) would be the single biggest improvement available.
