Gemi Grade Report
HeartGold SoulSilver
Published July 7, 2026
This Gyarados presents as a strong overall example with excellent centering and only light corner, edge, and surface wear. The main visible issues are minor whitening on the edges and corners plus a faint front scuff and a few tiny specks.
Image Quality
• 2 front-side defects ignored due to scan quality.
• 2 back-side defects ignored due to scan quality.
Low-confidence card geometry detected (confidence 0.76, detected sides 1).
• Parts of this scan are hard to inspect. Glare, overexposure, or low detail may reduce grading confidence.
• Parts of this scan are hard to inspect. Glare, overexposure, or low detail may reduce grading confidence.
• Strong lighting glare across the upper left and holographic artwork area obscures part of the card front.
Grade Shape
Four-axis score profile
Front centering is essentially dead-on horizontally and only slightly bottom-heavy, while the back shows a modest but still mild offset. The measured alignment supports an outstanding centering result overall.
The corners show light wear at the back BL, BR, and TR tips with small white nicks and slight arc whitening, indicating only minor corner handling. The back TL corner also showed broader whitening, but that region was excluded from scoring because glare and image quality made the evidence less reliable.
Observed
The edges show scattered minor whitening and small nicks along the cut edges, especially on the back bottom edge, with no heavy chipping or structural damage. A couple of edge defects were visible in image-quality affected regions and were excluded from scoring, but the remaining wear is still limited and consistent with light edge wear.
Observed
The surface is mostly clean, with only a faint vertical scuff in the front silver name banner and a few tiny specks on the front and back artwork. Despite some front glare reducing visibility in places, the observed marks are small and isolated, supporting a very clean surface result.
Observed
Corners (7.0) is the lowest of the four axes. It's the main thing keeping this card from a higher grade.
The limiting defect is Corner Wear (minor, back).
Bringing corners up to the level of the next-weakest axis (Edges, 8.0) would be the single biggest improvement available.
