Gemi Grade Report
XY Black Star Promos
Published July 22, 2026
The card grades very cleanly overall, with excellent centering and only light edge/corner wear visible. Surface damage was not confirmed, though glare limited part of the front inspection.
Image Quality
Strong reflective glare along the left side and lower right border obscures parts of the card surface.
Grade Shape
Four-axis score profile
The front is essentially dead-center, and the back shows a moderate left-right offset but remains visually well balanced overall. The measured geometry supports an excellent centering result.
Corners are largely sharp, with only a slight whitening/rub visible at the back top-left corner. The mark is faint and somewhat uncertain due to soft cropping and lighting, so it does not materially detract from the otherwise clean corners.
Observed
Edge wear is the main visible issue, with several small white nicks/whitening spots along the cut edges on both front and back, including a more noticeable chip at the front right edge. The wear is light to minor in severity but spread across multiple edge locations, which fits the lowered edge subgrade.
Observed
No confirmed scratches, dents, creases, print lines, or foil wear were detected on the surface scans. Front glare obscured portions of the card, but no reliable surface damage was identified in the available evidence.
Edges (8.0) is the lowest of the four axes. It's the main thing keeping this card from a higher grade.
The limiting defect is Edge Wear (minor, front).
Bringing edges up to the level of the next-weakest axis (Centering, 10.0) would be the single biggest improvement available.
